MEET THE SAKE BREWER Vol. 6 – RYUSEI (Nov 24~25)

Fujiishuzo Brewery started their business in 1863. At the first National Seishu (Sake) Competition was held in Tokyo in 1907, Ryusei was awarded “Gold Prize” and known nationwide as a top brand thereafter.
Ryusei has also been awarded “Gold Prize” by the National Bureau’s Research Institute of Brewing consecutively.

Kagatobi Tasting Weekend

MEET THE SAKE BREWER Vol. 5 – KAGATOBI (SEPT 3~5)

Fukumitsuya Sake Brewery was founded in 1625. The brewing process of KAGATOBI uses natural water that spends at least 100 years filtering through deep underground, blessed with minerals necessary for fermentation to brew their sake, as well as quality sake rice produced by their cooperated sake-rice farmers.

Bijofu Tasting Event

MEET THE SAKE BREWER Vol. 4 – BIJOFU (AUG 28)

BIJOFU is brewed in Hamakawa Brewery in the eastern part of Kochi prefecture. The brewing uses underground water of the Naharigawa River which originates from the Senbon mountain, one of the three most beautiful forests in Japan.

Kikumasamune Tasting

MEET THE SAKE BREWER Vol. 3 – KIKUMASAMUNE (JUL 16-17)

Kikumasamune’s dedication to dryness started since the foundation of its brewery in 1659 in Hyogo. They are one of the few breweries which preserves the painstaking “Kimoto” brewing method. It is a time and effort consuming ancient approach which has been passed down from the hands of one generation of master brewers to the next.

Wanna hear some more of its story? Sake sommelier from Kikumasamune will be at BAR IPPUDO on 16 Jul evening to 17 Jul all day sharing with us all the amazing intelligence of sake making.

Suigei Tasting

MEET THE SAKE BREWER Vol. 2 – SUIGEI (JUL 15)

Suigei brewery is located in Kochi where crystal clear water from Kagami River gushes out around Tosayama area. Suigei specialises in making sake perfect for dining. Its sake enhances the five kinds of taste: sweet, hot, bitter, sour and astringent. You can surely enjoy its sake with various cuisines.

Yoshinogawa Tasting
